Independence Day

We bought a flag when we were in the big city last week. We will tour the grounds later this week, but just a front view to whet your appetite. Speaking of appetites, we are going to the park this afternoon for the Dodge City Old Fashioned Fourth of July celebration. We each have a duck entered in the rubber duck race down the Big Horn River. And we will eat supper there. Because there is the promise of 'concessions'. And games--'like last year with a few new ones' the Dodge City Gazette proclaimed this week. Hopefully there will be something good to eat. Although we have also been invited to friends' house for ice cream later. And after dark there will be fireworks. I don't guess it gets much more old fashioned than this.
